On October 11th Residents of Dallas’ Swank Uptown area were served with an eviction notice just days after they complained that the Property Manager,Kim Knight, assaulted one of them. The couple asserts that Property Manager Kim Knight, of Trianon by Windsor, assaulted tenant Darryl Gee, when he and his girlfriend Sally McMullin, went to discuss the replacement of damaged wood floors. The floors were damaged on September 8th as a result of a leak from the unit above. The leak which was caused by faulty repairs of an AC drain, drenched their laundry room walls and caused the couples floors to buckle as high as 3" in some places. The leak was immediately reported to Poncho, the maintenance manager of the building. “As we walked on the floor water would rise between the wood planks,” said the couple. Shari Levine, the Division Manager of the property assured the couple that they would not be inconvenienced by the repairs, and that they would be put up in a guest unit of a sister property. When the couple went to discuss these amenities with Kim Knight, she became irate when the couple asserted that she (Kim) should have taken the lead in arranging these amenities. Kim Knight ended the conversation and asked the couple to leave her office. As Darryl Gee reached the door he turned to ask Kim Knight, who was seated, for her supervisors name and number. Her rage escalated and she lunged at him, striking him and slamming the door on him. The couple immediately called the Dallas Police. Officer Daren G. Roberts (6566) wrote Kim Knight a summons for a Class C Misdemeanor Assault (Service# 675668-T). The couple expected that Kim Knight would be terminated or at the very least reassigned. Instead the couple received a 24 hour notice to vacate, just days after their $1,767.00 rent check cleared. Baffled, because not only was their rent paid in full and up to date, the couple called the property’s retained Attorney, David Fink. He did not return their call. He did however return a call to Chris Salsado of Channel 11 News, and provided him the details. The couple is willing to resolve the matter quickly, however the Property Owners, Windsor Communities are not responsive. The flood was caused by their faulty maintenance, their property manager assaulted me, and I’m being evicted!” says Darryl Gee. “Outrageous!” he asserts. The couples blog, www.AssaultedByTrianonManager.com chronicles their predicament and has photos and links to the couples You Tube Videos. “It’s a way for us to have a voice since the property owners don’t seem to be listening!” says Sally McMullin. ### For information contact Darryl Gee geedarryl@yahoo.com.
