Apartment Review
A.K.A. Gates of Hell's Fire Springs

1.When we signed our lease, I asked "Kat" (who is our leasing agent) if we would be getting an apartment with the linoleum wood flooring and new carpet that she showed us in their model apartment. She stated that their complex only replaces what they need to, but I could sign a lease for one apartment and when we got ready to move in, we could switch our lease to an apartment that was getting new flooring and it wouldnt be a problem. I called in December and January to make sure that there would be an apartment available that had new flooring and the second time I called (January) "Kat" stated, We dont do that here. 2.The day that we moved in, we were shown, on a map, the apartment (with a view of the pool) we were to move into (which was also shown to us when we signed our lease). We drove to this apartment area with our moving truck, but our apartment number did not match the apartment we were shown on the map. We drove around for 15 min. looking for this apartment thinking it was facing the pool. Finally we realized we werent getting the apartment we were shown, we were getting an apartment that faced the parking lot. A month later we were asked if we wanted to move into a different apartment, but of course we declined because we didnt want to move all of our belongings again. 3. I needed to use the printer in the main office because the disk drive in the tenants business office was destroyed so I couldnt retrieve any info to print off that disk. As soon as I walked into the office "Kat" stops what she is doing (which was having a new tenant sign a lease) and asks abruptly, What do you need?, as if I were there to complain about something (which wouldn't be uncommon because everything here sucks!) Not-how are you? or may I help you? (Normal hospitable remarks). 4..Every time we ask for something to be fixed, we can never get anyone to come fix it. That is service you expect to receive at a low budget community. 6.Parking is horrible! The gym is rented out so much we cant even park outside the gates if there are no spaces near our apartment (which is nightly). We shouldnt have to park outside the gates, though. The complex makes it almost impossible to park near your apartment without having to pay for a covered space or a garage. A woman, or anyone for that matter, should not be forced to walk alone at night because they cant park in covered parking (which are the only available spaces) or they will be towed. You would think we are protected enough to walk freely without fear because we are a gated community, but the gates stay open 50% of the day and night. 7. These apartments sure aren't sound proof. Not to be crude, but we wake up every morning at 3AM to "mating sounds" from our neighbors! Thank God we are moving out soon. We barely made it 6 months!!!
