I have lived at the Villa Rosa for exactly one year. We have noticed on NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS car brake-ins (including the one where seven cars were brooked into at one time). Our car has been broken into twice. On the second occasion all four wheels were also stolen ($1200 a piece). The management team has done NOTHING to stop this. There is no night security, no cameras, etc. All that happens is we get a notice in the mail that states "we [Villa Rosa Management] have been informed that several vehicles have been stolen in the uptown area - two of them at Villa Rosa - ....we remind you that security is the responsibility of local law enforcement agency and yourself. We believe that by taking an active role in your own security you can help avoid any unnecessary problems". When you pay as much money to live at Villa Rosa, you anticipate a SAFE enviroment and that management would take an active role in providing safety to its residences. When that is not its view and it they make no attempt to solve the situation (i.e. Repeated Car Break-ins), I would not recommend living here. It is too expensive to deal with this many car break-ins in one year. Other than the expense of dealing with two break-ins, everything else at Villa Rosa has been great.
