Ravello is a great place to live as long as you do not mind having tow-truck drivers roaming the community at night searching for a reason to tow you while you sleep. Ravello has given "blanket" authority to a tow company to enter our apartment community from 12 am- 7 am to monitor parking garage. This is VERY UNSAFE as the truck drivers are free to enter at any time and give any person they choose access to the apartment buildings to do as they wish. Since this contract with the tow company began about 1 month ago, mangament has been sending notices to residents saying crime is on the rise in the community with more break-ins and car thefts than ever before!! Yet they tell their residents that personal safety is their own responsibility and to be aware of your surroundings. I would recommend this apartment complex ONLY IF this whole parking garage/tow truck monitoring came to an end. I do not see how it will become any safer when they allow individuals without any background checks to enter our community at 3am to peek into cars for a reason to tow. The parking garage is directly in front of apartment doors and once you are in, it is very easy to go from door to door attempting break-ins or even lurking while young women get home from a night out on the town. Even though the garage is well-lit, having strange men lurking in the wee hours is not by any means a good first step to resident safety...oh, and I must mention that management is very stubborn and will refuse to admit they are doing anything wrong..so the chances of this ending anytime soon is up to resident complaints and future residents expressing their disgust with this policy.
