I'll start with my complaints: First of all, you cannot get Verizon FIOS TV service here. For me, this is especially annoying. Here's why: Originally AMLI had a business relationship with Dish Network. Because of this, for some reason, Verizon was unable to provide residents with TV service. Recently they've switched to a business agreement with Time Warner, and now residents must either get an expensive, lengthy contract with Satellite providers (Dish Network, DirecTV) or go with Time Warner. Personally I think Time Warner is trash, and I don't want to get locked down in a contract with satellite providers. I have constantly complained to them about the "monopolization" of the TV services here but they don't seem to care. Secondly, the maintenance people are ALWAYS around. They are extremely bossy. They are always telling you what you can/cannot do and are not very kind to residents. For example, I had my dog sit beside me in the pool area (leashed, not running around) and the guy came out and told me to leave. I wasn't bothering anyone, he just wanted to be rude. Lastly is apartment security. Yes, they have a perimeter fence and everything appears secure but that's just a false sense of security. I haven't been personally robbed or had any other misfortune brought upon me, however I'm constantly getting notices on my door about people who are getting mugged and having their cars smashed up or stolen. It's definitely intimidating. Other than that, I've been here for 2 years and the place isn't so bad. I can honestly say that as far as apartments go, this one is by far the best. Apartments will always suck compared to say, owning a home, but relatively speaking AMLI on Frankford is a great place to live in my experience.
